B and W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Adapter Installation - 2005 Chevrolet Silverado

Today on a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab, we're going to solve part number BWRVK3500. This is a B and W Companion Gooseneck fifth wheel trailer hitch adapter. We have a fifth wheel hitch already installed in our truck. It's just a matter of installing our adapter in place. After its initial installation with everything being put together and set up to match your trailer, literally it's under five minutes to convert this from an empty bed truck into a fifth wheel pulling truck. This Underbed Kit can be used with the Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter by replacing the hitch ball with the 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch such as part number BWRVK3500. Now, we can go over operation of our new Gooseneck hitch and ball. To install our Gooseneck ball, well simply pull out on the hitch handle, rotating it towards the cab of the pickup to lock the pin out so we can then take the ball and drop it into the throat of the Gooseneck hitch. Then to release the handle, well simply rotate it towards the rear of the vehicle and the spring pressure will close the pin on the Gooseneck ball.Once were finished using our new Gooseneck ball, well simply pull the handle on the pin again, locking out the hitch pin, taking the ball out, turning it over, and putting it back down into the throat of the Gooseneck hitch and releasing the handle, locking the pin back in position and locking the ball in the stored position. To begin our install, well first go ahead and lower and remove the spare tire and remove both rear wheels. While its not a requirement, it will give us a lot more working room and make an easier install. more
